A French lady also called the "Queen of the bias cut", makes me feel sorry I wasn't born 90 years earlier to see her raw talent live. It absolutely fascinates me how contemporary her designs look decades later. I love her creations, I respect her courage to innovate and I adore the fact that the dresses she made are forever gorgeous.

Another amazing dress made in 1933, the picture for the add is made in 1936. 

M. Vionnet would first make the model of the dress on a miniature doll. 

 From the stiffness of corsets and society to fluidity, motion, elegance and freedom. A true creator, a true inspiration!

And in the end a drop of wisdom from Madame Vionnet herself "when a woman smiles, then her dress should smile too."

You can't have both. Really, you can't. Because if you do you'll be sexy cheap not sexy chic. Clothes are an important part of your image, a part that you can control and master as long as you ask yourself "What message am I sending dressed like this?" 

So here is a proposal of a dress designed and made by me:

cream silk + black tight bottom part + hand sewn shoulder detail

PS: I'm gonna write in English from now on, for very good reasons: 

- it seems that English is the language with most words in the world(source: http://www.vistawide.com/languages/language_statistics.htm) therefore I can express myself with the eloquence I desire

- I feel very comfortable speaking English, so comfortable that for sure I would end up writing in Romenglish on the blog and I don't do things half way

 Blossom. Nu, nu ma refer la personajul din "The Powerpuff Girls":D. Ma refer la procesul de inflorire ca o metafora a transformarii si evolutiei prin care trecem cu totii la un moment dat. Ca atunci cand un boboc de floare se deschide timid si isi arata frumusetea intregii lumi. 
Voi posta mai tarziu si citatul care m-a inspirat sa aleg tema asta.

De abia astept sa incep:D:D:D! Intr-adevar,  nu muncesti nici o zi cand faci ceea ce-ti place.

               

Custom Made Dress

         Aceasta este o rochie facuta pentru o draga prietena de a mea. Evenimentul la care o va purta este un garden party unde va insoti trupa Swing en Vogue.  A fost foarte distractiv sa o fac si sunt sigura ca si ea se va distra la fel de mult purtand-o. De unde stiu asta? Pentru ca o reprezinta: fun, alive, pretty&adorable! Asta conteaza cel mai mult la haine, sa va reprezinte, sa fie "so you", fidele stilului vostru intr-un mod contemporan. Fara uniforme si trenduri. Fara ca unicul argument pentru care imbracati ceva sa fie "ca asa se poarta". 

PS: ultima poza ilustreaza cel mai bine culoarea rochiei.

Red, Silver&Gold

Personal, nu imi plac toate nuantele de rosu, insa aceasta este superba! Am combinat-o cu gri deschis pentru ca vroiam un contrast, insa unul putin mai soft, nu foarte strident. Culorile sunt unite de detalii aurii care sunt prezente si la umeri, si desigur, talia este accentuata.
